  • The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin, KYBELLA® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.

  • KYBELLA® is injected into the submental fat under your chin. The injection process may take 15 - 20 minutes. You will receive a series of injections at each treatment session. Only you and your doctor can decide if KYBELLA® is right for you. If you’re bothered by submental fullness, or double chin, ask your doctor about KYBELLA®

  • We will create a customized treatment plan based on your needs and desired outcome. At each treatment, you will be given multiple small injections under your chin. KYBELLA® is FDA approved for up to six treatment sessions, however most patients experience visible results with the first treatment.

  • You will first experience swelling immediately after treatment that may last up to two weeks. Final improvement is visible at six weeks.

  • The most common side effects are swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and areas of hardness around the treatment area. These are not all of the possible side effects of KYBELLA®. Call your healthcare provider if you develop open sores or drainage from the treatment area or for medical advice about side effects.
